November 12, 200916 yr OK here's the scenario - 2 hard drives.First haed drive partiioned say 50/50 and second hard drive left complete. When Win7 is installed it installs on C - and of course there are drives D and E.BE AWARE - Drive D is the 2nd hard drive and E is the 2nd partition on the first hard drive.Just saying check the sizes before installing all the progs and data else you can be installing on the wrong drive if you think E is the second hard drive.John E
November 13, 200916 yr If you type "dsk" on the Start Menu you will see "Create and format hard disk partitions". Select that and it will open the Disk Management program where you can change drive or partition letters to your own taste. Just right click on any drive or partition (except C:) and you can change the letters.Beware that if you change the drive letters after installing programs on that drive/partition, you might run into problems running the programs on that drive/partition.Todd
