Just confirming that you can start the Cessna 172 with the analog (steam) gauges?

The Cessna 172 G1000 variant works fine. It’s only the analog gauge variant Cessna 172 that has electrical problems and won’t start. And no it won’t start via CTRL-E either.

How long did you wait? It is loading on that screen. Not very intuitive but it isn’t locked up.

You either have Acceleration or SP2 but not both. If you somehow installed SP2 over Acceleration you have a problem. Todd

I'm not trying to nitpick. You didn't notice the big wide tan areas where roads should be? You can see them in five of your screenshots. Also take a look at your comparison screenshots. Look at Google first. Then look at your shot of P3D/UTX. Lastly look at your P3D/Orbx shots. Something is amiss. It's either missing roads and/or you have scenery layering issues or the Orbx landclass has some issues. Todd

You are correct. But you have four 8 pin connectors on your PSU so again pertaining to connectors you should be fine. You did not say the wattage of your PSU so you will need to take that into consideration also. Todd

GTX 1080 and 1070 cards have one 8 pin power connector. The GTX 1060 has one 6 pin connector. Click here for a picture and click here and scroll down for the 10 series specs. Each one of your PSU 6+2 cables equal 8 pins. You should be fine. Todd

That doesn't sound right. From the FlightSim Store Support Centre link at the bottom of the webpage: Error #40: Activation limit has been exceeded. Please contact The FlightSim Store for assistance. The customer has exceeded their validation limit and will need their validation log reviewed and cleared before they will be able to re-validate their installation. Submit a ticket and ask them to reset your activations. Todd

I'm not missing what your problem is. You can eliminate the problem (as you call it) by using the locked spot view. Also you might want to re-read your second sentence as I guess you left out the word "before". Todd

OK and it should. The two different spot views have existed since FSX. You don't like the zooming effect on the normal spot view and you don't like the locked spot view. I'm confused. Todd

Normal Spot view vs Locked Spot view? Press the "S" key once followed by the "A" key. Todd

I see one constant in your combinations. I'm assuming when you wrote (Physx) you mean you have that GPU manually assigned to the PhysX setting. Have you tried setting PhysX to Auto-select? Todd

I am very picky about video and audio quality and do have quality HT gear. My response to the OP was only intended to give basic information. Todd

When you say "Blu-Ray" movies remember that simply means 1080/60p video quality on a disc. You can purchase and watch 1080/60p movies from Vudu if you have a streaming device like a Roku. You can also watch or download movies from Vudu on a PC. Link Vudu is only available in the US though. Todd

NDB radios are optional on the Phenom so it appears the Carenado model isn't equipped. If you check out the actual Prodigy 100 manual that I linked here you will see which softkey would display ADF/DME. The info is on pages 17, 20 and 146 in the real manual. Todd

I do not have any addons for Firefox to run YouTube videos and they work and display just fine. Not true. Internet Explorer 11 is included with Windows 10 along with the Edge browser. To the OP although I regularly use Firefox I just tried IE11 and the Edge browser and had no trouble viewing 1080p YouTube videos using both browsers. I don't know why it isn't working for you. The only suggestion I can give is try increasing you browser cache settings and see if that helps. I have mine set at 1024 MB. Todd

The words "Commercial Use" on the camera image is normal. The image should not be dark but I believe your version of the PS3 Eye camera has the IR filter removed to work with the Track Hat so I do not know if that affects the brightness of the camera image. Try adding more light aimed at your face. To continue testing you want to see the yellow outlines on your face. Press Start and move your face close enough until the yellow outline appears on your face in the camera image. If you get that far, the tracking is working. If you like you can try using your Track Hat but change the Tracker Source(1st = Master) to PointTracker 1.1 and under settings make sure all of the settings are correct. There are four tabs of settings for the PointTracker. No matter which tracker source you use (faceAPI = Face Recogntion or PointTracker = InfraRed Tracking) once you press Start in FaceTrackNoIR if everything is working you should see the yellow square grid with a head icon in the black area above the camera image start moving as you move your head around. Continue testing using only the FaceTrackNoIR software as there may be additional steps to get it working with FSX. Todd
