November 20, 200916 yr I've got a laptop (MacBook Pro) running boot camp XP connected to a flat screen HDTV via the Mac's mini-display port and a HDMI adapter. I can run FSX Sp2 cloned on both screens but haven't been able to run different FSX windows on each (for instance, spot view on the HDTV and 2D cockpit on the laptop). When I change the Nvidia setup from cloned to non-cloned, all I get on the HDTV is the blank desktop wallpaper and icons. I understand how to run a dual monitor setup from a desktop computer with a dedicated graphics card with 2 outputs (VGA & DVI) but I'm not sure how to get to separate signals out with the mini-display port.I searched the fora and found no topics dealing exactly with the specifics of getting 2 different signals out of a mini-display port.Any ideas? Is there a topic and posts I've missed in my search? Thanks.
November 21, 200916 yr Have you exited 3d mode and undocked the view you wanted to move to the 2nd monitor, then done so?
November 23, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the response. I usually fly in full-screen mode and was looking for a way to do it within that mode, but after some head scratching I figured out that the only way to do it was in "windowed" mode. Thanks again.
