AS 320

Dear Simmers,I bought the AS Airbus 2 weeks ago. Firstly I would like to say a big thank you & a very well good job to all the team for this product. I can immagine the hard work/time spent for this I am going to be honest about my feedback after some testing in the past week. All went well installation/activation updates etc etc , but started to have problems when loading the aircraft. Firstly my main problem was that the 2D cockpit was not visible @ all.I tried to re-install it & it worked.(although the Ext pwr from the MCDU didn't work immediately so i had to place the aircraft anywhere at the airport to try to switch on the aircraft).Secondly I am having trouble with the flight controls as it seems that when installed air simmer it changed my control settings ( joystick and also rudder) When I tried to set & correct it from the main fs menu it was all without success.( 1 problem is that when i push the throttle(joystick) forward in airsimmer the thrust go backwards and vice versa. Not the mention that sometimes when I try to click a switch from the overhead panel ( mostly when I right click my mouse button)the sim hangs.I truly understand that the product is still sort of under construction ( bug fixing etc). Honestly I'm not going to ask for a refund coz I am very sure that the AS team is working hard on it,and I truly beleive that this product is going to be the best ever for us simmers, But also I am abit disappointed, especially when reading other posts stating that other simmers are flying this baby quite well. Please don't take me wrong, I am not complaining or anything.I thought that you should know my situation. I'm really keen to fly this aircraft, and I am ready to but the extended version,as soon as it comes out,but I think I have to wait for some updates first to start flying & and testing it.I thank you for your time.Regards,Justin A320 DriverMy Specs are - Intel Core2Quad, WD 150G HD, 4GM RAM, BFG 8800 GTXOC2,Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit.

Just curious, since you copy/pasted this off the same post in the Airsimmer product discussion board - have you registered in the A320 Basic edition forum so you can get support?

Regards,

Mark

Just remember that this product is no way near the final version. This was released A: To give AirSimmer a break to re-group and get a but of money inB: To give thousands of people out there waiting (semi...) patiently a look at what looks like an amazing productThey have freely admitted there are several bugs in the Basic version. Just be thankful for what you've got and wait for the Advanced version to be released.

we want to categorically state that, even though none of the remaining bugs are critical to product performance, we are by no means satisfied with the state of the product.I guess that's up to interpretation?

In fairness to AS, this thread can be misleading:1. The original poster posted the same message first at AS, then here, then AS again - always he's advised to register for support. Has he?2. From my observations the problems he describes are unusual - most seem to be able to fly without show stopping issues. The bugs have been highlighted by unofficial reviewers, and nothing like his description was noted.3. He can always get a no questions 30-day Flight1 refund if all else fails.AS might not do some things the way I prefer from a developer, and I've said so 'to their faces' but imho they are clearly on the right track technically - 'Basic' looks incredible, and I'd encourage anybody to look at it's features and feel free to at least try it on their systems.

Mark

I, for one, appreciate the post. It lets me see what kind of bugs are in the aircraft from someone that may very well be more independent than a reviewer. In that same breath though, I hope no one answers his questions here. I'd rather see him get them from Airsimmers forum, then just post back here, "fixed" or something like that. There's a reason only customers can access that area. :(

I was unclear, by 'reviewer' I mean ordinary folks who bought it, clearly know their stuff and posted pretty exhaustive assessments of the pros and cons. Those plus just average comments - many of which have publicly mentioned the issues reported in the locked support area. Compare that to one repetitive post from one guy who makes simply registering for support his last resort? Imho I don't think that tells you definitively what kind of bugs are in the aircraft. More likely the kinds of bugs in his setup.

Justin,Register on their support forum. There seems to be good feedback there from the developers as well as the community. On a side note, outside of one CTD which I am pretty sure was my fault (I was using the ENB Series plugin and I had two monitors on, 1 running FS9, the other running IE....which I believe is not supported by the ENB Series plugin. lol), I really have yet to see any major issues. The little things here and there seem pretty fixable.I am really enjoying the product so far. The VC is great! :(
