Hi,It's more simple than you can think,I/P means "Intercept Point"; probably in the case you shown you were above or below the planned VNAV profile...for example, your MCDU calculate the optimal climb/descent profile but you start the climb/descent a bit later, so your plane start to climb/descent more fast to intercept the optimal profile...So that I/P is the point where you will arrive to intercept the planned profile...Hope this help you...;-)Bye,Paolo Fumagalli

Read page 135 of the FMC documentation that came with the aircraft. It's the intercept point for your computed profile.RegardsRob
