November 25, 200916 yr Hello, searched everywhere, but is hard to find for me:sorry, the shot is a little bit too small, but I'm sure you know what I mean. For what stands the little purple I/P what you can see at the upper side of the screeny of the ND panel? And what should it tell me?thank you! November 25, 200916 yr Hi,It's more simple than you can think,I/P means "Intercept Point"; probably in the case you shown you were above or below the planned VNAV profile...for example, your MCDU calculate the optimal climb/descent profile but you start the climb/descent a bit later, so your plane start to climb/descent more fast to intercept the optimal profile...So that I/P is the point where you will arrive to intercept the planned profile...Hope this help you...;-)Bye,Paolo Fumagalli Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."
November 25, 200916 yr Commercial Member Read page 135 of the FMC documentation that came with the aircraft. It's the intercept point for your computed profile.RegardsRob Rob Prest
