I bought a new laptop with windows 7 and runs flightsim 9 great, but many of the PMDG liveries will not install. I have a few cargo like World, UPS MartinAIr,but that is it. Dekta won't install or any passenger liveries won't install, any ideas here?Michael Pare.

Hi Michael,Not install, as in you get an error message of some kind? Or as in you cannot see the livery after install? Browse to your folder location they are supposedly installing to and see if anything is being written to your hard drive.

The program seems to install normally with no error messages, it just seems hit or miss if it installs or not, it is funny how the cargo aircraft install but no pax liveries.Michael Pare.

Yeah that is weird. Have you tried to install a downloaded livery from PMDG's site? Also, check to see if you have anything in your \\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG_MD11 directory. The only other thing I can think of is folder rights, but I've yet to play around with Win7. I know how Vista 64 can do that though and know they both use the same kernel. Still makes no sense to me why you'd have MD-11F, but no passenger. I am not too familiar with FS9, I only had it installed for a short time. I know FSX has a box for showing all variations, does FS9? I don't think I remember one.

I still can't figure out why I am not seeing PMDG liveries, and this is happening in my 737 as well, so there is some file issue between my windows 7 and my PMDG addons, there has got to be a soution somewhere.

Since the laptop is new and presumably the FS9 installation is new, have you checked to see that the "show all variations" box is checked? I think the default is for it to be off. Just spitballing here.

Where do I find the all varations option in FS9? are you talking about un checking the 32 bit mode opon install?Michael Pare.

Can some one tell me step by step how to make these liveries work in Windows ?Michael Pare.
