December 1, 200916 yr Ok I need someones help! My computer crashed on Friday and had to go buy a new one. Anyhow I now have windows 7. I was able to install FS2004 with no problem, but I can not see to be able to get the addons to load. Go to the normal screen and click on add on scenery and it wont do anything. When I downloaded my Flytampa it said installed but must hand install?? It shows up in the addon scenery folder but again I can not activate it.. Is it windows 7? I dont know I am so confused I never had this problem before...

December 1, 200916 yr Make sure you install the add-on scenery in Administrator Mode. You do this by right clicking on the installer and choosing Run as Administrator. Also remember to always run Flight Simulator 2004 in Administrator Mode. This will solve a lot of problems found in both 7 and Vista. You can right click on the .exe file of FS9 and click a check box to always run in Admin mode.
