December 4, 200916 yr Hi,more than a week ago i sent a question to the customer service by mail, but i didn't get an answer yet. Here's my question again:+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Hi, first: sorry for my bad english. Here's my question: I've created an small tutorial to fly the MD-11, just for myself, but I'd like to post it in some forums to let others improve, correct and comment it. In my tutorial i've used several words/phrases/explanations from the FCOM Normal Procedures. Is this a problem concerning copyright-laws?...+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Thanks for any response.edqt-wolfi
December 6, 200916 yr Commercial Member If you didn't get an autoresponse, we didn't get your email. Try using a Gmail account, those have proven to work and not get blocked.I'm pretty sure I can answer the question though - we can't have verbatim word for word copying out of the FCOM, but if you reword/paraphrase stuff to make it your own work, that's fine. December 6, 200916 yr Commercial Member Wolfi-Paul forwarded your email to me on 24NOV, and it was answered by me the same day.To paraphrase my answer by email: The copyright for these materials is licensed to us by The Boeing Company. We cannot give you permission, as we do not have the right to sub-license their work.I'm sure you could obtain permission from them, but only if you have your checkbook handy... :( Follow Ryan's suggestions above and you should be fine.
