CTD if clicking on panel

Featured Replies

get an immediate CTD if you attempt to move any of the sub-panels to a different location within the FS window (ie the throttel quad from top left to bottom right of screen). also get a CTD when left-mouse-click on the main panel or forward view and try to, or accidently, move the main panel graphic or forward view window.same behavior if you load the tinmouse directly from create flight window, or first load an FS default aircraft.- FS9sp1- winXPsp3 --

Dick--the only thing I know that causes a CTD with the new panel is if you put the "ISG" keyword into the title= line without having the ISG gauges installed.Does it do the same thing after a re-boot? You might also check that FSSound.dll is still in the modules folder.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, COP.S. and if you are using the ISG gauges, please make sure that you have the current (v1.6) version installed

One more thing - make sure you do not have both ISG_TCAS!Logic and ILH_TCAS!Logic gauges loaded on the same panel. They are essentially the same gauge (the ISG_TCAS gauge supports the TCAS logic in the ISG EHSI gauge). The panel.cfg supplied with the V1.25 package DOES have the ISG_TCAS!Logic gauge left in it, though it's not needed...so if you added Lee's TCAS to it without getting rid of the ISG_TCAS!Logic gauge, that's a problem. For anyone that read my previous (now deleted) post on incompatibility of the ISG and Lee Hetherington's TCAS gauges, please disregard, I had my wires crossed.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Dick--
who's dick?
if you put the "ISG" keyword into the title= line without having the ISG gauges installed.
this is with the 'default' install with no addon gauge options.
Does it do the same thing after a re-boot?
yes
You might also check that FSSound.dll is still in the modules folder.
yep ... has been on this install of FS for over a year as required for the PSS dash-8.
P.S. and if you are using the ISG gauges, please make sure that you have the current (v1.6) version installed
don't have these installed--
One more thing - make sure you do not have both ISG_TCAS!Logic and ILH_TCAS!Logic gauges loaded on the same panel.
not using these gauges.the fault is only if you attempt to, or accidently, move a view, panel, or sub-panel. i can fly ... have done two flights with no issue ... but if i accidently click/drag a view/panel, 'pow' CTD.--

I can't duplicate it here on three different PCs. I've moved and resized all of the panels without ill efffect. What video card and driver are you using? FSUIPC version?Have you tried starting with a default aircraft and then switching to the 'mouse?Might be worth trying a reinstall in case a file got hosed along the way.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO
