December 8, 200916 yr Jim and others,I know this topic has been beat to death, but I noticed something that I haven't read anywhere. Flying the LD767 out of LAX tonight, I have DWC enabled. As nearly always, the temperature goes from -26 to +45C and we lose power and nearly fall out of the sky. When this happened, I put ASX on the second screenso I can use the sim and make changes while seeing everything. As soon as I uncheck the DWC box, then click "Save and Apply" the temperature goes right back to where it's supposed to be at -26. Check the box, then hit save and apply and it jumps right up to +45....Has anyone else noticed this? December 8, 200916 yr Although I fly GA aircraft, I have found a number of issues with temps, winds, slow ATC response, etc. In every case, disabling DWC has solved the issue (remember when we used to call them problems?). Disable DWC, leave it disabled, be happy. Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

December 11, 200916 yr Hi,You asked if anyone else had noticed this and seeing I never have I didn't respond! From the other thread I would tend to say that both sides of DWC have seen this. Thanks!
December 11, 200916 yr Author Hi,You asked if anyone else had noticed this and seeing I never have I didn't respond! From the other thread I would tend to say that both sides of DWC have seen this. Thanks! Its really weird because I don't remember seeing this until after I installed the PMDG 747. I know that if I disable it, it doesn't happen. If I leave it enabled, the temperature goes through the roof. As soon as I uncheck and click save, it fixes itself. For the longest time, I ran DWC enabled and it never negatively affected the Level D. That's weird. On a positive note, ASX has been VERY accurate in replicating upper level winds within just a few knots.... I mirrored DAL61 last night from KLAX to KATL and it was remarkably close in the wind calcs. December 12, 200916 yr Hi,And others have the problem with the Level D plane so you can understand how frustrating this can be for me/us.Thanks,
December 12, 200916 yr I managed to permanently fix the TAT issue on my flight sim (haven't seen it in months now) and I posted what I did in the big TAT with MD-11 thread on page two. However, I did not receive any feedback so I don't know if people looked at my post or not (probably because my post count is really low, but I rarely post). Russell Johnston
December 12, 200916 yr Jim,Sure. Without ASA loaded, I went to my user-defined weather on the Free Flight screen and clicked customize. From there I pressed Advanced weather and found that the TEMP/PRESSURE page had a whole bunch of different layers (from sea level all the way up to 60,000 feet), each saying 59 degrees F. So, I went through my advanced weather tabs and deleted every single layer for all of the tabs (clouds, wind, temp/press, and visiblity). Then, I loaded the flight and saved the flight as default. To me it seemed like ASA would stop transmitting data to FS, and FS would revert back to the weather saved as your default flight. Since I had a whole bunch of temperature inversions listed there, FS depicted them. The problem started when I installed the beta (435 I believe it was), and I have not had the issue since I erased the saved weather from my default flight. If people having this problem check their user-defined custom advanced weather and find this to be the case, then I am pretty sure this will fix the TAT problem. Doesn't hurt to look I guess. Russell Johnston
December 16, 200916 yr To me it seemed like ASA would stop transmitting data to FS, and FS would revert back to the weather saved as your default flight. Since I had a whole bunch of temperature inversions listed there, FS depicted them. This is exactly what i see whenever I get the TAT issue. Whatever altitude I am it the SAT reverts to 15C causing chaos, also the weather slowly clears, the clouds disappear and the winds never change, but stay at whatever value they were before the problem started. It like ASA stops communicating and FSX reverts to clear weather. I am going to try this fix and see if it works, thanks for the post russert!
December 21, 200916 yr Philsfan814,You're welcome. Give me a shout if it works. I still have a hunch that it's the .wx from whatever flight is loaded (whether it be default or individually loaded for the flight) and it is overriding ASA's information. Russell Johnston

This might confuse suspicions at the moment but i noticed that whenever the application is downloading Wx from the server the temperature jumps back to what it supposed to be, but soon as the download stops the temps go right back to +45 degrees. Im currently on a run from Spim - Tjsj..and just minutes ago switched on DWC mode and after 2-3 refreshes it SEEMS to have gone back to norm. Will report any changes.GW Gidel Warde

Im gonna try tweaking the default flight as mentioned earlier, hopefully that solves the issue. Gidel Warde
