Window Size and Positions from saved flights

Featured Replies

Hi all, does anyone know of a way to determine what the window_size and window_pos values should be in the panel.cfg file, based on the information available from a saved flight that already has the windows sized and positioned? For example, I recently bought the Carenado C182Q, and have resized and repositioned all my panel windows and saved a flight. I'd like to be able to take the information for each panel window from the saved flight, and convert it into something usable in the panel.cfg file, so that the size and positions of each window from the saved flight, would become the default sizes and positions for the panel windows for that aircraft regardless of whether I load the saved flight first or not. So does anyone know of a formula to convert ScreenUniCoords values from the saved flight, into appropriate window_size and window_pos for use in that aircraft's panel.cfg file? Thanks in advance for any assistance with this. -George

A flight is saved in two files: 'flight".wx and 'flight'.fltThe .flt file is readable text (open with eg. Notepad) and contains the panel window size/position/visibility info at the moment you saved the flight.Rob

That's true... the point is though that these are somehow in a different format compared to how they should appear in the panel.cfg... I think the original poster is asking how the values should be converted for use in the panel.cfg...Geoff
