Aircraft initialization problem

Featured Replies

I have been a happy user of the Tinmouse, and I was pleased to see the new version come out. However I have a problem:I uninstalled the old and installed the new, and then came my problem. On the 2004 start up screen I get the following message:Aircraft initialization failure: Boeing 727-200 Lufthansa.I have uninstalled tinmouse 1.25 and reinstalled but am getting the same message and cannot get into FlightSim at all.I would appreciate any help.Peter :(

Stupid question Pete...did the install somehow remove the [OLD_MODULES], fssound.dll=1 entry?

What's happening is FS can't find the airplane specified in the default flight. The title= line has to be an exact match to what's specified in the plane.0 section of the file <boot drive>:\Documents and Settings\<your login>\Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.FLTI believe that the -MB option was not standard on the Lufthansa in the last version, but it is on this one. Since the title= line changed, FS can't find a match any more. Go into the aircraft.cfg file, copy the text after the title= in the aircraft you want in the default flight, then open the aforementioned .FLT file and paste it following the "=" on the Aircraft= line.Or, you should be able to delete the .FLT file and FS should allow you into the create a flight menu to build a new default flight.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO
