December 18, 200916 yr Sorry if this is a strange question. I'm really new to all of this.Yesterday I downloaded some great planes from WOAI. Different airlines for the US. Last night when I was at the "create a flight" menu I now see that I can fly a UPS plane. Forgive me if I'm asking a dumb ? but have I always been able to select UPS as a color scheme? Or does it have something to do with a package I downloaded?I did download the UPS package, but I also downloaded others. The UPS plane(s) are the only ones that show up as planes I can fly. The other packages seem to show up as extra traffic when I'm flying into and out of different airports. Is it possible to fly these other planes Continental, Holiday, Virgin, etc...????If so, how do I do that? What I'm really looking for a is a cargo prop plane. I'm not ready for the big commecial airliners yet, like the 737's. I was looking for a smaller version, I do have cargo planes as an option on "create a flight" but they are the defualt planes. Is it possible to get a DHL, UPS, Fedex, etc....as a prop-cargo plane?Thank you. Gus
December 18, 200916 yr The last cargo plane I bought was the "Captain Sim" 757. There has been a recent update to it but I have not as yet installed it. Here's the link: http://www.captainsim.com/products/b757/. Right now I'm flying the Beechcraft 1900. It has a passenger, freight and cargo version. Don't have the link but you can "Google" it. jerrycwo4
December 18, 200916 yr There are many options for different planes to fly. POSKY, iFDG, Project Airbus and others create freeware airplanes that are flyable (jetliners) as well as others that create flyable military aircraft and general aviation aircraft. Most likely, the ones you are seeing (UPS and others) in the Create A Flight menus are AI aircraft that while flyable, are not really designed to be flown by the PC pilot (you). If you load one up, you will notice that there is no panel though you could create a panel folder and alias a panel to it.PMDG, Carenado, Flight Designs and others create payware aircraft that you can fly and are of better quality than the default aircraft (and most times, better than the freeware). My suggestion is to try some freeware aircraft, both general and airline to get an idea if you wish to go the payware route. For most aircraft, payware and freeware, you can download the different liveries right here at AVSIM or FlightSim.com that can be used with the airplanes you get. If you wish to try a GA type aircraft out with Cargo company liveries, the PMDG Beech 1900C/D is similar to the King Air 350 and is not that expensive at $39.90 combined.A good freeware GA plane is the C-54 Expediter that is a redesign of the once payware SimTech Beech 18 (that is also available for free now).
