December 18, 200916 yr I am returning to FSX after almost 2 years (my old gaming rig died & I only replaced it recently) and I bought a fresh copy of FSX Gold Edition which has Acceleration and the F-18. However, no matter what version I pick, all I get is the Blue Angels ship. Apologies if this is old news. They all show up in the selection window, but only one results. Something simple?krswen
December 18, 200916 yr Probably as simple as...Look for the "Show all variations" button at the bottom of the airplane selection window. Make sure it's turned on. :)and.... voila! uurmmm...Wait - you see all the different F-18's but when you select any of them, you get loaded into the Blue Angels ship?...nevermind. Not sure on that one. That sounds a little strange for certain. You may wish to perform a repair install. I wonder if the installation process faulted somewhere.
December 19, 200916 yr Which brings us to my most referred link: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041 The recipe for a complete and flawless installation and the optimal GPU setup. Read through it. I recommend internet connection and anti virus off during install. When registering turn internet connection on. "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
December 19, 200916 yr I actually did go through NickN's 45 page opus on the install. So far I have no add-ons either. The wierd thing is that I can select variations of other planes (such as the Baron); only the F-18 misbehaves.krswenGo figure .... fixed itself. Ahhh, the wonders of complex apps.krswen
