Wierd behavior FS9 reloading scenery multiple times...

Featured Replies

I was doing a long haul polar crossing VHHH-KORD, after crossing about 84 degrees N lat, FS started to reload the scenery about once every 15 minutes to 30 minutes. It did this for the next few hours until I was around 300 miles out of KORD and then it stopped. Has anyone seen this before and is there a fix? I did the opposite leg a few weeks ago KORD-VHHH using the same route and did not experience this constant reloading of scenery. Thnx for any help!!

Most likely the cause was that you were flying against the sun. At that latitude you are also crossing time zones fairly quickly. Going KORD-VHHH you are chasing the sun. VHHH-KORD the sun angle will change dramatically Day-> Night, KORD-VHHH the angle will change minimally.Roman

Hi Roman,I thought that was the problem but I dismissed it because I figured I was flying a straight line heading 180 degrees and therefore was not crossing any time zones.
