Crossing Restriction

Featured Replies

HelloI fly alot into IAH. There is a 280k restriction at TXMEX and RC dont see this. It does have a FL140 restriction and it does tell me to desend below that to FL120. Is there anyway to make adjustments to reconize the 280K restriction?TnxEddie

RC4 does not issue speed restrictions except for the under 10,000 foot restriction of 250 KT and 230 to 210 KT in what it recogniozes as the airport local area. You should be getting a 230 or 210 KT speed restriction at CRVZA.Note in the attached extract of the TXMEX arrival it states that turbojets are expected to cross as 14,000 feet (in FAA land flight levels start at 18,000 feet as FL180), not FL140, key word being "expected" so a 12,000 foot crossing is OK here. If it was a hard altitude it would be depicted at 14000 with an over bar and under bar.
