January 15, 201016 yr Basically I can takeoff quite simply however Im never really sure why the thrust does what it does. So does it maintain V2 until "Climb Thrust" roughly @1500ft. And does it then go to ACCEL thrust above 3000ft.This is assuming no waypoint restrictions and the CLB & ACCEL altitudes haven't been altered. Is this spot on or are there other factors that make the FMS go thats a good speed. Also does it wait for you to retract flaps in any way or is it a catch up game with the pilot having to retract as the speed increases. So in the DEP page on the FMC theres V1 VR V2 VFR V3/VSR VCL. Now correct me if I'm wrong but upon passing CLB THRUST will the FMS try and maintain VCL. And finally what speed does ACCEL try to maintain. Taking into consideration 250 below 10000ft.
