Missing Liveries W7/DX11

Featured Replies

My research shows this was a problem with FS and it has to do with Direct X. Has anyone determined a fix to the problem of add-on aircraft in FSX with W7/DX11 coming up all white without liveries....for example...DH8.pngThis worked perfectly well on my XP/DX9 system before upgrading. Thanks in advance.TB

Some aircraft aren't compatible with FSX DX10 Preview Mode. Uncheck DX10 Preview and the textures should be visible.Todd

Indeed, older aircraft built using the FS9 SDK and using BMP textures are not compatible with DX10 Preview on FSX, only 'true' FSX aircraft using DDS textures are.

Thanks for the replies guys.A couple of follow up questions for those in the know. With a mix of DX10 compatible and non-compatible aircraft, is there any benefit to toggling the DX10 preview switch depending on the aircraft you are using, or is there any noticeable difference if you just leave it unselected all the time. Thanks,TB
