July 25, 200322 yr Beyond...yes, way beyond what I was expecting. The Cessna 172, and the Lear...Oh..the Lear, all fly better. The scenery is unbelievable, and the airports (the few I visited, were soooo much more real). My Microsoft ForceFeedback2 joystick FINALLY FEELS RIGHT. They must have made adjustments so this (their stick) works better. More feel, more resistance, and more realistic forces. Am I happy or what? I can't wait to continue using this program. Love the real weather downloading, and the clouds and water look phenomenal. My settings are up there....on the very (ultra) high side. I'm using Dell 8250 with 2.8 gig Pentium, 512RDRAM, ATI 9700 128mg graphics card, and Audigy sound. The default frame lock seems to be 20fps. I still don't know how to change this number. Maybe someone who knows can tell me. Now....excuse me while I go to DELETE MSFS 2002. Stan
July 25, 200322 yr I have to agree with you on this one. I don't have a high-end system (P4-1.6) and the graphics are awesome.I don't remember exactly, but I think to change the FPS, it's under DISPLAY in the Settings/options menu.
July 25, 200322 yr Author Kind of amazing how they can add so much-yet keep performance about the same fs2002....http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
July 25, 200322 yr >Kind of amazing how they can add so much-yet keep performance>about the same fs2002....FS2002 wasn't optimized properly....FS2004 team did a better crunching job at the end of the testing period....not perfect, but still yes better than FS2002.[div align=center][link:www.jetdoc.com/STO/]Visit The Bookstore & Gift Shoppe][/b

July 25, 200322 yr Use the forum search function - very handy for finding those old posts from beta testers describing just that .Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
July 25, 200322 yr Author I am a beta tester-that is why I am asking! My understanding is that the code has always been "optimized". Fs2004 uses new techniques (e.g. new weather engine).http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
