PMDG737 NG 800/900 sudden engine shutdown

Featured Replies

Hello! After installing the FS9.1 and the PMDG737 800/900 on a new PC-system (Win 7Pro, 64bit) I have an extreme problem with the 737 800/900.Mainly during a time of taxiing, the engines shutdown suddenly. A cold and dark engine startup is not possible.I have installed (in this order):PMDG 737NG 600/700 Vers. 1.3PMDG 737NG 800/900 Vers. 1.1PMDG 747All in boxed (CD) version from aerosoft (they could'nt help).Ch-Flightsim-yokeI also tried out ininstall and reinstall of the 800/900 several times without any improvement.I hope to find support in this forum to solve this nerve-racking problem.Thank you and best regardsHolger FunkSolingen, Germany

Holger,Check your engine generators are turned ON. I once experienced a double engine shutdown flying from LPPR to LEMD while climbing to FL310 and I presume it was caused for that. Fortunately I could make an inflight restart and all my pax arrived safely to their destination :(

Sounds like a dead battery. Are you using FSUIPC? If so make sure disable battery drain option (don't remember exact title) is on. Also, check to make sure you don't have a key and/or button mapped to something that has to do with the engine and fuel systems. If this doesn't work let us know what other add-ons and FS hardware your using.

Hello George.Thank's for your response.I think that's not the problem.I have the CH-Flightsim-yoke in suspicion.Yesterday evening I re- and installed both (the 600/700 and 800/900) again incl deleting the FS9.cfg.The setting of yoke-throttle for idle results in N1 ~ 21,0 - 21,3% . Pressing "F1" results in N1 ~ 20,0 - 20,1%.But it seems that it works.I go on testing and come back later.Best regardsHolger
