Is my memory working correctly?

Featured Replies

I just added a Crucial 6gig DDR3 1066 mgz memory kit to my Gateway FX 6800-01e and the Vista system info shows 9 gig instead of the original 3. I guess that proves its working, but what difference should I notce in FSX? So far, it seems to be running the same as before, and it even crashed with a "Fatal Error FSX is Restarting" message. This message isn't necessarily memory related is it? Thanks. Tom

It depends on what caused the crash - check your eventlog and let us know.

FSX wasn't using all of your 3GB and it sure isn't going to use 9GB. So except for maybe a smoother flight you should experience no differences.Correct, that error is a pretty generic FSX error message is is usually not an OOM error message.
