January 23, 201016 yr I just added a Crucial 6gig DDR3 1066 mgz memory kit to my Gateway FX 6800-01e and the Vista system info shows 9 gig instead of the original 3. I guess that proves its working, but what difference should I notce in FSX? So far, it seems to be running the same as before, and it even crashed with a "Fatal Error FSX is Restarting" message. This message isn't necessarily memory related is it? Thanks. Tom
January 23, 201016 yr It depends on what caused the crash - check your eventlog and let us know. Scott
January 23, 201016 yr FSX wasn't using all of your 3GB and it sure isn't going to use 9GB. So except for maybe a smoother flight you should experience no differences.Correct, that error is a pretty generic FSX error message is is usually not an OOM error message.
