Vertical Sync & Captain Sim

Featured Replies

I have noticed the Captain Sim 767 & 757 both have a framerate hit over say, the CS 727. I assume it has something to do with the glass cockpit gauges. (Thats just a guess), However, they still run acceptable on my systems. I read somewhere on the internet a recomendation to "force off" vertical sync in the NVIDA applet (if you use an NVIDA card) and it will perform better. I tried this and on my system, and I do see a slight improvement. (very slight)What does this do, and am I loosing something somewhere else that I have not noticed yet?Rob

It will cause image tearing. Simply pan around the cockpit and you should notice a "wave' effect through your graphics. Enabling Vsync will eliminate the image tearing. I would suggest you keep Vsync enabled.Regards,Bob

If you really want to add frames in the 767 run the ACE and place a check mark in Flight Deck Only.
