January 30, 201016 yr First of all, I don't own the plane. That's why I ask these questions, to find out something I have been wanting to know for some time now:1) Can you save the panel state of the 737 (for FS9, of course, not the NGX!)? It doesn't have to be as fancy as the 747 or MD-11, it's fine if it's in the way of the J41.2) If 1) is answerd with no: exactly how time consuming would it be to enable this functionality in the 737? Will it require a complete rewrite of the code, or is it a quetsion of an extra module that saves all outputs of the gauges to a single file? January 30, 201016 yr You can save flights as "cold and dark" situation files, that is about it. I would imagine trying to put in functionality like that after initial development would be difficult. Joe Sherrill
January 31, 201016 yr Author That's too bad. I'll stick to other planes for now, me thinks. I'll await the plans of the NGX, and if it doesn't come for FS9, I'll see what I do. Saving a full panel state was never a function intended for the product. If you do a search, there are a few good workarounds which folks have developed. It will be interesting to see what the NGX brings. :( George Morris
February 3, 201016 yr Author I don't really need a way for cold and dark (I know how to do that one); what I need is a way to save the panel state in-flight. Since the old 737 doesn't have it, the NGX will probably not make it to FS9 and also Ariane 737s don't have panel state saving, I wondered if there's a way to still implement it afterwards. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, as long as I can start a flight, quit in the middle, and return the next day. One of the reasons I don't have the PMDG 737, is because I can't save the panel state... It really is of vital importance to me.Sometimes, I do make exceptions. It all depends on how much I want to have a given plane. For the 737 I don't make that exception, however, becaue I know I want to do medium-haul routes with it too, not just short-haul. They have stated as such in a few posts. They are working on the NGX. Doesn't hurt to ask. :( George Morris
February 4, 201016 yr Commercial Member There's absolutely no easy way to implement this, it's a core feature of the gauges. The NGX will have it. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
