Will I be able to re-install FSX?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys & Gals,I've currently got FSX & Acceleration installed on my XP system and I really want to upgrade to W7 - some of you may have read that upgrading XP > W7 isn't possible but I can assure you it's not the case. Anyway...I was wondering what the fate of my FSX will be once the upgrade is in place. I reckon i'd probably have to re-install it but is this possible? I read somewhere that a copy of FSX can only be installed once. Is there a workaround of some sort to prevent me from spending another

There is no limit to you activating FSX, however after x number of times you may be required to make a toll-free call to have your activation counter reset.I've installed/reinstalled many times since FSX was in beta testing, and I've never had to call for a reset... :(

Well that puts my mind at ease over the FSX, just hope that the 'upgrade' goes to plan! Thanks n4gix!

I did a clean install of Win7 and it didn't touch FSX--didn't need to reinstall! Couldn't have been easier. :( :( Keith

How did you do that? Was it on a blank HDD or did you partition your primary drive?
