FS2004 installation questions

Recommended Posts

My new computer has 2 hard drives. Fs2k2 is currently on drive C along with Windows XP. I was thinking of installing FS2004 on the other drive, but I have a couple of questions about this installation.1) I have the latest DirectX9b update installed on the C drive. Does the FS2004 installation give me an option to skip installation of DirectX?2) Do I need to have DirectX on Drive D if it is already on drive C along with Windows XP?Thanks.

FS9 will work fine on your other harddrive. DX9.0b covers all your hard drives from the original install.K

Bill - You can install FS2004 on the other drive with no problems at all. Since you already have DX9 installed, FS2004 will just skip that step - it won't try to install it again. DirectX is actually a part of the operating system and is only installed on the same drive as WinXP.Doug
