July 27, 200322 yr My new computer has 2 hard drives. Fs2k2 is currently on drive C along with Windows XP. I was thinking of installing FS2004 on the other drive, but I have a couple of questions about this installation.1) I have the latest DirectX9b update installed on the C drive. Does the FS2004 installation give me an option to skip installation of DirectX?2) Do I need to have DirectX on Drive D if it is already on drive C along with Windows XP?Thanks.
July 27, 200322 yr FS9 will work fine on your other harddrive. DX9.0b covers all your hard drives from the original install.K
July 27, 200322 yr Author Bill - You can install FS2004 on the other drive with no problems at all. Since you already have DX9 installed, FS2004 will just skip that step - it won't try to install it again. DirectX is actually a part of the operating system and is only installed on the same drive as WinXP.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
