Black Screen When Window Size Reduced

Featured Replies

I was flying the advanced tutorial from KORD to KJFK this morning. I was outside of KORD just past Dufee and I wanted to check the data in Real Temp. I was in Windows mode and full screen for Windows mode, I reduce the window size so I could see Real Temp and I noticed that Lake Michigan was black. I went back to full screen in Windows mode and then reduced the Window size again and this time the whole screen was black. I went back to full screen in Windows mode and the screen was still black. The sim was still running, with my joystick button I toggled through the different windows and I know that I was toggling through them because I could hear the sound change from VC to spot to tower, to the other spot and back to VC. I reduced the window all the way and my desktop was fine. I never could get the display in the sim back, it never regained from the black state. Anytime I reduced the sim I could see my desktop and that was fine so my GPU was working fine.It was like when you reduce or increase the window size and there is a momentary time that the screen goes black and then the sim graphics are back except that this time the sim stayed black and the graphics never came back in the sim, but the desktop and any other programs I accessed were fine.Has anyone seen this and can you tell me how to recover?I just tried to duplicate this tonight and no matter how many time I reduce to desktop, go back to full screen, just reduce the window size and go back to full screen the sim is fine.Regards,Rod

I also am having this exact same problem, as well as the MD-11 causing Sim Lockups resulting in "Fatal Error" and then FSX restarts.
