Missing glideslopes!

Featured Replies

Hi,I have a curious problem: In my AFCAD for Aerosoft's Arlanda scenery in FS2004 I have ILS with GS on runways 1R, 1L, 19R, 19L and 26 but in the sim, the glideslopes of 1L and 26 are missing! I have checked and they are present in the stock airport data but then still missing from the sim even when all the custom ESSA AFCADs are removed... Where in FS2004 could there be data pertaining to glideslopes apart from the AFCAD? There must be something else overriding my AFCADs...Thanks,Geoff

I don't have that scenery, but it isn't uncommon in FS9 that airport scenery was done with FS2002 BGLC methods, with the "AFCAD" only controlling the invisible, airport facility data. The AFCAD could easily do the ILS data, but I have seen many times where the developer left the FS2002 ILS commands in the scenery. That shouldn't be too much a problem, but if there is an ILS with that same freq on both ends (primary and secondary) of a runway there can be issues in FS9.scott s..

The scenery is newer than that - less than a yesr since release - so I'd like to hope that isn't the issue. I have a suspicion it is a conflist from an independant modification of the taxiway signs but cannot confirm without further testing - I know who the developer is and can contact them in another forum so will probably ask them...Geoff
