February 22, 201016 yr Installed a new HD a few weeks ago and reinstalled FS9 and FSX. The issue I am having is that in FSX when I select the lndg lights-On, black squares appear on the taxiway and runway lights. When the landing light are turned off the black squares disappear. This issue only happens in FSX. FS9 is okay. I thought it might be the add-on I was using but it does it with all FSX default acft. I think it may be a Nvidia display issue but not quite sure. I am currently using the Nvidia 181.22 driver. Just curious if updating the display driver would solve the problem and any suggestions what display driver might fix the problem would be appreciated. Thanks. Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about. Walter
February 22, 201016 yr Your driver is very outdated. Update the driver and see if the problem still persists.
February 24, 201016 yr Author I updated the driver to ver 191.07 yesterday and the problem was still there. Last night I found out what was causing the problem and it wasn't the display driver. It was an add-on (Imaginesim-KCLT) that i had installed. Found out there was a patch for it running FSX SP2. I applied the patch and now no more black boxes on the runway or taxiway lights. :( Walter
