  1. Thanks for the info guys. Now I understand the SOP for this add on.
  2. I just purchased the 1900D a couple of days ago and I have a question. Why does the GNS530 have to be turned on in order to navigate? What if the GPS is MEL'd Inop? Does that mean that you cannot fly VFR/IFR with this model? When I tune the Collins NAV to a VOR station nothing happens, ie, no DME readout. I flew the 1900C in the RW with over 2000 hrs in type. We had to hand fly the aircraft from takeoff to touchdown. We didn't have a GPS or AP back in those days. This 1900D is a great looking aircraft.
  3. Thanks, Problem has been solved.
  4. Hey guys, Thanks for your help on my Autoland issue but I think I figured out what the problem was. When I got the 737 last week I downloaded a USAirways livery which had the Honeywell MCP. I did a Autoland with that livery and no Autoland on approach. Looking at the Introduction to the 737 .pdf file the Honeywell MCP does not have the Fail passive option so no Autoland. The Collins MCP does.I have no issues now when using the Collins MCP. Keem em straight and level. Thanks again for your imput.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. The next approach I do I will bypass the HSG panel and set up for a Autoland. I was curious when they said to setup the HGS panel also. I think it was a FedEx employee that desighed that logo and he got payed big bucks for it.
  6. Look at the red EX closely and see if you see anything. Last night I found out why I wasn't getting a Land3. On another forum I found out you have to set the HGS panel also when setting the ILS freq. I haven't used the HUD display on approach so that is why I did not use the HSG panel. This morning I did a ILS 9R to KPHL and passing 1500' I got a Land 3 indication. Rollout and Flare was indicated. This time it worked. Thanks again for your help.
  7. pcubine, Thanks for replying. I will check the settings you describe in my FMC. I like your Sig. Yesterday, I installed a Fedex 737 livery. I also have the FedEx livery on my Majestic Q400. With reference to the FedEx logo do you see what I see?
  8. I think Flare and RETARD was armed but not sure. The problem is at touchdown the SPD brakes do not deploy even though the speed brake was armed. I also fly the Captainsim 757 and the LevelD767 and have no problem doing a Autoland with those aircraft. I flew 22 years for an airline in the RW before retiring in 2007.
  9. Just got the 737 NGX 3 days ago and an really impressed with this bird. I have watched numerous videos on youtube on how to Autoland. I have both Nav radios set to the ILS freq, both Autopilots are engaged. The speed brake is armed. Istablished inbound I moniter the PD, CMD is selected. Here s where the problem starts. Passing 1500' Land 3 does not illuminate. It stays at CMD. I must be missing an important step on setting up for Autoland. I was doing a flight from KATL to KMCO for the ILS17R at MCO. Any assistance would be appreciated.

  11. I installed the door guage for the Q400. Works like a charm.
  12. Here is one I got the other day.
  13. My homebase is KCLT. Back in Mar,2011 I emailed support to see if there would be an update showing the new runway 18R/36L for KCLT. The reply I got from support was after the KDEN project they would work on a patch for KCLT. Acouple of weeks ago I emailed support again asking about KCLT. The reply I got a few days later was they were working on the New Delhi project and an overhaul of KMSY and I "Might" see an update for KCLT towards the end of the year.
  14. Randy, installed your KCLT file in FS9 this morning. One word comes to mind,"Outstanding". Did a short hop from KMCO-KCLT in the LD767 and all Navaid data for the approach was in the FMC's database. Just curious if this scenery file will work in FSX also? Thanks again for your excellent work for this addon scenery.
  15. Thanks for the info. I remember many years ago the airline was called "Allegheny" and "Piedmont Airlines".
