I have been thinking about getting RC but have a question. I have about 15 flt plans I downloaded from Simroutes for my LD767 and CS757. The flt plans for the 767 end with .rte and the 757 with .rt. How do I convert the .rte file into a .pln file for import into the RC Main Screen? Thanks.

Walter

Save the Simroutes files as FS9 or FSX plans as well. RC will read these formats.Search through this forum for using RC with an FMC for special flight plan requirements and procedures.

Thanks for the reply. In the list of Airlines for RC is USAirways listed in the drop down menu?

Yes. Radio Call: US AIR Airline: US Airways Inc - USA is in the current Version. US Airways is listed now using CACTUS which is the call of America West which acquired it after RC radio calls were defined.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_West_Airlines"However, the merged airline retained America West's callsign, "CACTUS" and ICAO code "AWE"."If that is really important to you that can be changed very easily.

Thanks for the info. I remember many years ago the airline was called "Allegheny" and "Piedmont Airlines".

In 1980, Allegheny changed its' name to US Air. In the late 80's we merged with PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) and then Piedmont.Sometime in the mid 90's, powers that be decided that it would be good marketing strategy to change the name to US Airways. Then in 2005 US Airways bought America West, or America West bought US Airways, none of us can figure out which was which. The US Airways name was retained but the Cactus call sign was kept.
