March 1, 201016 yr I was on a flight from EKVG into EGPH, and as I approached Edinburgh from the North, I started getting very strange blocky water textures. The river was a nice dark blue, but I had big blocks of almost tropical blue textures mixed in.As I was landing, the cloud textures went mad too. I am using REX textures with ASE providing the engine. What I saw was runway designators, PAPIs, runway numbers etc............ all in the correct white cloud colour floating in the sky. Really surreal. I am kicking myself for not doing a screenshot!I landed, and noticed that the red "brakes" banner had some numbers letters missing too (it said "b es").I have never had this before (my first flight with ASE, could just be coincidence though!),.any ideas?????Thanks,Neil
March 2, 201016 yr Let us know your system specs and run some torture tests on the CPU and GPU and let us know the temps. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
March 2, 201016 yr Author I run an E8600 Overclocked to 4.0.The GPU is an Nvidia GTX 280, no overclocking. It seems to run at about 65-75.I have run the torture tests on the CPU, and it never goes above 65 (I found removing the side of my Coolmaster Cosmos helped here, as before it would go higher). When running FS9, I sometimes see about 55-58, but usually no more than 53.Yesterday however, it did seem to be up at about 63 after it had gone wrong. I don't normally have problems with these temps (even though I rarely see them). What surprised me is that I seemed to have all the runway textures up in the sky, never ever seen this before????It was the first I was running every thing I normally run, plus my new FS2Crew for the Maddog, and newly downloaded ASE.I was wondering if this could have been a factor,Did another flight today, without any problems.Neil
