ASE and FSBuild Problem

Featured Replies

I decided to uninstall ASA and use the Full ASE version with my ASA licence key. All ASA/ASE folders were manually deleted after going through the normal uninstall process (Win XP). ASE is working fine over a home network, a few small cloud pop issues but nothing to worry about.I am using ASE on the client machine (laptop with Win XP), with FSBuild and FS9/FSX on the server computer (Windows 7 Pro x64). I have pointed FSBuild to the new ASE application folder - \\laptop\Documents and Settings\myname\Application Data\HiFi\ASE\Weather and saved this in settings of FSBuild, but it refuses to obtain the weather from ASE when building a flight plan. The only thing I have changed is ASA to ASE, all firewalls switched off in both computers, File Sharing as before with access to to files in both directions.I saw a previous post regarding language settings, but mine have not changed, still using English(UK) as before. Although this is not a major problem as I don't really use the weather in the FSBuild flight plan, its just bugging me why its not working.Glen

Hi Glen,Have a look at this post: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...&hl=FSBuildYou have to edit the fsbuild2.cfg, as Tom pointed out:[FSBUILD]WEATHERPROG=AS6[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]AS6=C:\USERS\TOM\APPDATA\ROAMING\HIFI\ASA\WEATHER {or whatever weather snapshot file you want to pull from ASv6, ASX, or ASA}Tom wrote:"When I set WEATHERPROG=ACTIVESKY and ACTIVESKY={some path}, it didn't load the winds aloft data. Only the use of AS6 and setting an AS6 path will work. You can, however, use that AS6 path to point to the location of your current_wx_snapshot.txt for ASA and ASX".Have a good read of the post and that should help.
