March 6, 201016 yr I know this is paint related but it is really urgent!I have just edited a tail on a 777-200 and when I open FSREPAINT all my other edited fuselage is ok except from the tail! It just looks like bare metal! Any ideas?
March 6, 201016 yr perhaps if you give us a couple of screen shots we might have more of an idea as to what you mean .perhaps one screen shot of how it looks and another of how it is supposed to look .It could be an alpha problem , or a texture type problem , as I say a screenshot will help

March 6, 201016 yr Here is the plane with the bare metal on the rear of the fuselage! Here is how it is meant to look!
March 6, 201016 yr Okay How are you converting your BMPs after editing ?What format are you saving them as? DXT3? , Extended 32 bit ?Are you using DXTBmp?If not get it here http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/programs/dxtbmp.htmIt could be that the alpha is too dark , almost , but not quite black If that is the case you will need to change the alpha layer to a light grey .Have a look at the offending texture in DXTBmp and lets us know how it looks
March 6, 201016 yr I am saving them as DXT3. here is the image of what it looks like in DXTBMP :D Can you see anything wrong?
March 6, 201016 yr Alpha channel, upper right, is solid black.Edit it to about 7% gray and see what happens.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 6, 201016 yr Change the Alpha layer ( top right corner ) to white or a very light grey.set up DXTBmp so it knows Photoshop is your default editor under Perfs select editor, then click on the down arrow below the alpha channel , this will send the alpha bmp to photoshop , make your edit and save then click on the up arrow , this will import the saved texture click on file save as , extended bitmap then in the box that open select either dxt3 or I use extended 32bit 888-8 then save and try it in the sim or fsrepaint Looking at your screen shots I am going to presume that you do your editing with Photoshop. If that is the case then if I was you I would take FSRepaint out of the editing process.Don't get me wrong it is a great tool , I use it all the time , but not for painting
