Is FS9 still viable for Virtual Airline Ops (looking at Virtual Air Forces)

Featured Replies

So, I'm a long time FS9 simmer, and I am really into military operations. Now, I haven't flown since about late 07, but I had 3 years of simming with FS9, pretty much since it came out. Now, I'm looking at getting back into teh hobby, but I wanted to try something different and join a Virtual Air Force. The questions is, is FS9 still viable for that? Or has everyone jumped ship and gone to FSX?Anybody who knows of any VAF's that specialise in carrier ops or just teh best ones would be great to know, if people could fill me in.Thanks guys.

Yes, fs9 is still in use even though fsx has been released for a while, I have no idea what the ratio is but from judgung with certain fs forums including this one i would say it is pretty close to 50/50.Go check oit vatsim, there is a section there with virtual airlines and I beleive that there are a few military VA's on the site.

What info?regarding the Virtual miltary VA's, go to vatsim. On the ratio for fs9 to fsx, no idea, If you reread my original post, I state I have NO IDEA on the ratio, also I state that FROM JUDGING BY THE FORUMS.I think it is pretty safe to say that its quite an even keel on the usage.Thats all on that, im not getting into who uses what more, it has been beaten to death already.
