March 17, 201016 yr Hey guys, I was thinking of buying SBGR for FSX but I am not sure which one to buy. There are two new sceneries from different companys, but which one have you guys bought and do you regret it. Would you rather have the other one?. I have looked at both descriptions and they read very similar, you know how it is, they say sharp textures, highly detailed, static vehicles (blah blah blah) so it's hard to make a decision. They are also priced very similar. The only difference I see is that one has photo realistic ground textures and the other one doesn't but I'm not sure if I like photorealistic ground textures if all the surrounding area is flat (you know whatI mean?) I have not bought anything yet from either of these companys so I can't compare. I love FSDT sceneries so whichever one can come close to that level will get my credit card. Thank you for any insight.

Thank you for any insight.I would go for the LatinVFR one. They did a pretty good job on the photoreal ground, but I am also using it with Paulo Richardo's Mega Sao Paulo, so it blends pretty well. One thing to remember, if you dont like the photo real ground tiles, you can disable it by either renaming the ground tile bgl or removing it, them you will be left with the default ground texutres. Thats what I do with addon sceneries that have photoreal ground tiles I dont like, simply remove them or rename them. I wouldn't let the photo real ground texture change your mind. Both companies have great customer service, but the guys at LatinVFR are really quick and will patch or fix things very quickly to make it right. Not that the other company wont either, but so far I have had quicker help with the LatinVFR guys.I also have Toncontin as well and it is really good and the photo real gound blends well with the default/GEX ground textures. The reason I mention GEX is because if you are running GEX Europe, a lot of the ground textres also show up in Central and South America.Good Luck. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
