Active SKy X and the suite

Featured Replies

Hey guys/gals,I am looking to buy REX as I have made a post asking about that as well as Active Sky. I was on the purchasing site for Active Sky and It said it was 50 bucks for the Full version. It said if I have any Active Sky license then I get the evolution version free. If I get the Full version, Does that come with Active Sky X, Advance and Evolution? Also how does it control weather? I heard it is the top dawg when it comes to weather in FSX and it really smooths things out and what not.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

ASA was an upgrade from ASX. ASA costs $49.95.ASE is the newest weather software which HiFiSim produces. It also costs $49.95. This is what you need to buy. It encompasses and improves on all of the functionality from the earlier products, while adding many new features. It provides the weather engine for the simulator. It will manage whatever weather textures you have selected. These textures can be the native FSX clouds, etc., or those of ActiveSkyGraphics (ASG), or those supplied by REX. This last choice is very popular. So - Buy ASE for weather control, and then buy REX for the best-looking and most realistic clouds. :(

Hi All,The Free Upgrade is for owners of ASA only, not from any AS weather program!

Hi,The Full version is ASE only and does not require any previous versions to be installed. ASE will be a weather program only. There will be no environmental textures or anything like that.

Oh so the flight planner aspect that I see with all the pictures doesnt come with it? Sorry If I seem dense, I just want to make the best decision. If I want realistic weahter portrayed in FSX, Is ASE the route to go? I would also like to know my weather along my route of flight and have better simulation of weather. I dont car about textures at this point. Is ASE my weapon of choice?
