March 19, 201016 yr I posted this in the simconnect forum, but I'm comnig to realize that there is also something called simconnect for SDK, which this has nothing to do with... it's a simple 'I can't install FSUIPC' post pretty much due to simconnect, please help :(Recently I had trouble with my TrackIR as it stopped working for FSX after I messed up my FSX installation and had to use repair to repair it... after that TIR just stopped working for FSX. I went to their website and the recc. was to delete the simconnect files and then repair FSX. that sort of did the trick but not really... I'm missing 3 of the simconnect folders (I have some files, but not the folders I deleted) in my winsxs directory and even though the game works now, i can't install FSUIPC because it says that 'the version of simconnect installed will not run FSUIPC4'well I tried repairing, but it's just not doing it...I'd really really appreciate some help =/right now there are 6 files total 3 being manifest files, and the other 3 being security catalogs apparently... all in Winsxslet me know what is needed and i'll post herequick system specs although I doubt this has anything to do with it as it worked beforeE8500 @ 4.32ghz4gb DDR2 ramWindows 7 x64ATI 4890
March 19, 201016 yr Hi,That is a real mess!! You will be best off uninstalling FSX, manually deleting any SxS folders left behind, and then re-installing FSX.
March 19, 201016 yr Author Hi,That is a real mess!! You will be best off uninstalling FSX, manually deleting any SxS folders left behind, and then re-installing FSX.That is exactly what I did :(I deleted all the sxs stuff, and reinstalled FSX with SP2, but nothing :( altough I deleted sxs 1st, then uninstalled fsx... will it make a diff if I do uninstall fsx then delete sxs files?
March 19, 201016 yr Author any help? I can't install FSX either now... I think I messed up ownership to the winsxs folder or something, I chagned it from system to desktop, then to admin and I put it back to system but nothing :(
