Glideslope at RWY 30L KSJC

Featured Replies

I just flew into KSJC (San Jose, CA) for a coupled approach on RWY 30L in the Learjet. This Rwy has an ILS on 110.9. I'm getting the localizer but no glideslope (this is an ILS approach w/glideslope). Also, when I clicked on the APP mode in the A/P, the aircraft started turning away from the rwy!? I don't recall having a problem with this particular rwy and ILS in the past. Now one fact is that the opposing Rwy (RWY 12R) also has an ILS on the same frequency (110.9). This "shouldn't" be causing the problem but one never knows. Anyone else notice this at KSJC?

Sure the proper nav frequency was activated, Nav/GPS switch set to NAV? Just thinking of all the mistakes I've made to cause this happening to me. The 30L ILS seems to work fine on my installation. :(

Just be sure it is setup for full ILS within FSX. If you're using new charts online you may find that some approaches are N/A in FSX - the database is quite old now. That runway may be localizer-only in FSX. Open the map view and click the airport to see what's up.yyyeah, just read the other reply.. nm
