FS2004 - Wait before you buy...LOTS of problems!

Featured Replies

Well I'll post this up as a seperate topic, but I'm having performance problems.FPS: 5-7ASUS P4PE1 GB Corsair memoryP4 3.06ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128MBWindows XPNot the fastest system out there (I'm waiting for a new Prometia cooling unit to tweak/upgrade again), but it should run faster then 6 fps.Oh yeah, I put all the detail sliders, weather, etc. to minimum and it didn't make more then a 2 FPS difference. The menus also get garbled when I scroll.Methinks it's an ATI driver issue. I'm just not sure I want to redo my system for this game, when everything else runs well.3DMark 2001 SE score is around 14000 with nothing shut down or optimized.

you've got an ati issue most likely.many here are running 2004 just fine on antique pc's with wayyy less power than pc you havedon

Try installing with 1 stick of RAM. If it still doesn't work, swap it with one of the others. I had a similar problem with another program and that is what it was.Just an idea.

>Are there some problems? Sure. Are they any worse that the>problems that I encountered when I installed FS2002, FS2000,>FS98, FSW95, FS5.1, FS5.0a, FS5, FSII (for Amiga), or FSII>(for C-64)? I doubt it.You had problems with the C-64 version?Wow, it ran silky smooth for me. ;)
