Hard Bright Colors for Addons

Featured Replies

From the announcement of Honolulu airport:""The runways and markings are crisp; the colours are not over emphasized and appear realistic with a weathered tone." In my less than humble opinion this applies across many addons. The author spends countless hours on an exquisite model but paints it in harsh bright colors. In the dark past the public was treated to strong simple colors with Technicolor movies. They now seem visually out of place.

Hi,Well, I would rather have realistic 3rd party addon airports with harsh ground markings than FSX default airports. But I do agree with you in regards to the freshly painted and/or non weathered airport markings.I would prefer to wait a little longer for the release of a product if it meant they would take the time to weather these markings.

Just an added note: Another area are the structures and vehicles around the airport. Looks nasty to see bright red vehicle pulling baggage carts or the usual solid grey buildings that Microsoft put out. A bit of artistry really looks good.
