April 1, 201016 yr Hi guys. Just got my new 5870 the other day and I'm turning to you guys to help me set up the settings inside the Catalyst Control Centre and FSX. I'm mainly concerned about AA and AF settings and I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction.Cheers,Ross Intel Core i7-3770K @ 4.4GHz|Asus Maximus V Extreme|16Gb Ballitix Tracer @ 1866MHz|EVGA GTX680 SC Signature SLI|Asus Xonar Pheobus|Custom Watercooling|Corsair AX1200W PSU|CM Cosmos II
April 3, 201016 yr Hi guys. Just got my new 5870 the other day and I'm turning to you guys to help me set up the settings inside the Catalyst Control Centre and FSX. I'm mainly concerned about AA and AF settings and I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction.Cheers,RossHi Ross,I use ATI Tray Tools to manage my game settings, not quite as friendly as nHancer but it does the job.You can use CCC also, no matter. With the 5870 I set AA to 8x Wide Tent and Adaptive enabled, and AF on 16x High Quality.Catalyst AI seems to work fine on Low or High, still experimenting there.Cheers,Dave
April 6, 201016 yr I found out, that I get the best performance and quality when I use the FSX internal AA and AF. But be sure to set the AA mode in the ATI setup to "Adaptive Anti-Aliasing" ENABLED. In combination with internal AA+AF this gave me a good performance.
