April 3, 201016 yr Dear PeteThanks for some awesome paints for this great new aircraft! In the original QF repaint, I notice that there is some printing outside the pilot's window which should not be there, and it is reversed so as to be almost unreadable, but it is possibly something from another aircraft with the name "*** island"? This needs removing. Also, the "Boeing 747-8i" over the wing on the same side of the fuselage is in reverse and needs fixing.I imagine this should be a very easy and quick fix.Secondly, the QF1 One World livery is the same as the QF livery (same registration number, same text in reverse, etc.) and does not have the One World text at all. I downloaded the new version from the downloads page on the website, but unless I made some mistake in installing it, the same problems remain. Can you please advise when it may be possible to fix these minor things and let me know when they have been done? Many thanks,Brian Cheers, Brian L Robinson Flight Simmer since 1983 - loving the brilliant Quality Wings 787 and all PMDG models!!
April 3, 201016 yr Brian, Please sign your full name per forum rules, thanks. I imagine this should be a very easy and quick fix.Well since you seem to be a painter (since you said so) you must be relating to opening up your saved .psd, making the change and being done. For doing such a "Simple" fix to already available aircraft that means also repackaging them up and then waiting for Robert to make the exe file for them, so it is alot more that you're asking than a quick fix anyway. Can you please advise when it may be possible to fix these minor things and let me know when they have been done? All I can say to this is, wow. Personally I would say fix it yourself since I really can't stand rivet counters, but that's just me. If someone asked me to fix a paint and I missed something, then I would consider it and most of the time would fix it since I always shoot for perfection, but I wouldn't even raise my brush to what I read as incredibly arrogant with the whole "Advise me when your done" thing. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
April 3, 201016 yr Author Well since you seem to be a painter (since you said so) you must be relating to opening up your saved .psd, making the change and being done. Thanks to your extremely detailed tutorial I may now be able to do that. I appreciate your directing me to it, as I had not seen it there (I am only a very occasional user of this forum, as you can no doubt tell). I had not thought about the re-packaging into an exe file, or the work that might entail - sorry! I have never had to do that kind of thing and have no idea how time-consuming that task might be.All I can say to this is, wow. Personally I would say fix it yourself since I really can't stand rivet counters, but that's just me. I have always been willing to advise users who have requested notice if they have pointed out a required revision of my paint job - in many cases I have emailed the update to them personally. Of course no-one would suggest you guys do that for paint jobs that are no doubt used by thousands of people, but regardless I am sorry my request sounded arrogant. What I meant was to advise by a post on the forum if/when he does the update. And I didn't think that noting text which appears in reverse on a fuselage was in the same category as counting rivets. I stand humbly corrected, and will seek to avoid nit-picking in future. I am indebted to you for taking the time to point out how trivial this really is. I am not one to get into a slanging match, and will comment no further on this post or any following ones, but perhaps now you might reflect a little on whether there is a tinge of arrogance in some of your own comments?Sincerely,Brian Robinson Cheers, Brian L Robinson Flight Simmer since 1983 - loving the brilliant Quality Wings 787 and all PMDG models!!
