April 10, 201016 yr Hi All,I was wanting to know where the saved flights folder should be located in FSX? I had a folder set up in My Documents when FSX was installed and that seems to be where (some) flights have been saved but when I go to load saved flights from the FSX drop down menu there are limited saved flights to select from. I know that in the FSX Program Folders that there is a folder for Flights, should I move all the add-on/saved flights from the folder in My Docs and place them in this folder and will it cause any disruption to FSX?It's always had me scratchin' my head as to why the folder was sent there in the first place as, I could'nt see how it could be reached when in the FSX menu. April 10, 201016 yr If You do have registered FSUIPC, You can allow loading a flights form different locations. If You do not have this, make a copy to My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files or just move the flight files Bartłomiej Ender
April 11, 201016 yr So I'm still not sure what happens here, is the Flight Simulator folder located in My Docs the Default location for the saved flights? Or is the "Flights" folder in FSX Program Files the Default folder? As I said in my post that when I try to load saved flights from the FSX Load menu I only find about 6 flights, as oposed to the folder full I've got saved in the My Docs Folder. Are you saying that it's ok to move those saved in the My Docs, to the Program files "Flights" ? I was unsure when you said just move the files. Also I don't have FSUIPC so that option is out. Pete
April 11, 201016 yr Pete,The "my documents" location is the default and the ONLY one you can access normally. If you can't see the flights that are there, check those OPTIONS at the top of the selection window..Select ALL CATEGORIES and ALL SKILL LEVELS or you won't see the saved flights. The "flights" folder is ONLY for the set of regional default flights: you can copy them into your saved flights folder and see what the default flights from other parts of the world are...Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
