Problem with 2D panels

Featured Replies

Hello,I have a problems with 2D panels in all planes in FSX (defaults and payware PIC737). I'll show it on the screenshot<screenshot>The problem occures only with 2D panel (i.e. Shift + 4 /MCDU in PIC737/) - in VC everything is ok.-> i.e. look at HOLD button or "E" in "ACTIVE" or "88.6", etc. How can I fix it?The problem still remains when I alter the size of MCDU or change mode to fullscreen.Maybe my videocard (or videocard drivers) causes this bug...?A few months ago (before I bought a new videocard) the problem was not exist. Now I have Radeon HD4870 512MB, with 10.3 Catalyst drivers. Earlier, I have Radeon X1950Pro 512MB.PS. I have FSX, VISTA 64Regards,Lucas

Hi Lucas,This "tearing" on 2D panels is a known issue with ATI cards. ATI representatives have said on their forums that because FSX is an old game they aren't going to bother incorporating any fixes for this or other issues (such as poor performance with clouds) in their drivers. So, unfortunately, the tearing isn't going to get fixed at the driver level. However, and I have no idea why, the ENB series mod actually fixed this tearing for me. It also looks great, which doesn't hurt. I would give that a try and see if it helps.Best,James

Search the Avsim file library for "lightbloom.zip"I didn't like the settings supplied in that download, too exaggerated for me, but I'm also too lazy to configure it to my own taste from scratch, so I'm using the settings from this post: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=32482

Ok, thanks. I will check it later.PS.On other forums, I found information that is possible problem with VSync.. what do you think about it?I have Vista and Catalyst Control Center, and I read that is the problem to activate VSync via CCC under Vista, so i.e. RivaTuner is required.. do you heard about it?Regards,Lucas
