April 17, 201016 yr Commercial Member Using Active Sky (ASA) and most airports appear to have 10nm as their visibility unless it is less than 10nm. Is this a real world default of something peculiar to ASA?The standard auto-generated METAR reports have either "10SM" or "9999" (meters) encoded as the indication that the visibility is AT LEAST 10SM or 10 km, respectively. Only human-operated stations provide any measures greater than that. But ASA should have a feature to generate a random or interpolated value above the automatic report value. Have you checked?RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. GPU: RTX 24Gb Titan 2 x 2160p projectors at 25Hz onto 200 FOV curved screen
