lights in fog suck!

First image isn't coming up, but if you mean that the light sort of diffused right infront of the window, thats the way it normally displays when there is low visibility.

hmm it works fine on mine. the first picture is the one which i want ot show. the 2nd pic is fine. maybe you know what im talking about. is that what it usualy looks like in a real cockpit of a 747?

It's a FS9 and FSX limitation, I found a fix using the Redux 3D lights, as a side note in real world ops you will find the most pilots want landing lights off in fog as it causes disorientation

Yes that looks normal to me.As for realistic...I can't say I've ever sat up front in a 747, but when I drive at night in fog, having the lights on def blinds my windshield, so it can't be far off.
