FS2004 - Missing road textures 3rd party scenery

Featured Replies

Hello,I have been adding third party scenery and testing out what works and what does not. I have noticed the main reason I am forced to dump scenery is because I am missing some road textures. It happens in many sceneries which leads me to believe there is some "shared" texture file that I am missing. Does anyone know what this file may be?? I have installed all the Nova textures, ASD, and VOD ones as well. Has anyone else run across this, and if so, did you fix it?Here is an example of what I am referring to. This was taken with the RPLL scenery, but also noted it happening on about 10 others.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/27867.jpgThank you for reading this message.Brandon

I copied all the textures sitting in FS2002/Texture to FS9/texture, but didn't allow any FS9 textures to be overwritten (one hour later my finger was still twitching from continuously clicking 'Overwrite existing file - No' Why didn't MS include a 'No to all' button as well?).I haven't found any missing textures in FS2004 with FS2002 sceneries since.Paul

Provide the correct file name of any one of the sceneries you're having trouble with and I'll d/l a copy. Perhaps some reverse engineering will give me a clue as to which texture the author is referring.Another possible answer is that the level prescribed for the road(s) isn't consistent with FS2004 requirements; however, to affect this many sceneries as you indicate seems a bit of a stretch.
