April 28, 201016 yr Dear All,I hope one of you can help me with this problem. Today when I started FS9 with an add on scenery of KPWT, the additional trees were white blocks, and didn't disappear. Also other add on airports sceneries had no trees, only the defaults. This problem never happend before.I deleted some planes before I started FS9, but no scenery files, as far as I know.Thank you in advance for your help.Kind regards,Robinho
April 29, 201016 yr Is this Mark Smiths' KPWT?If so, it requires a proper installation of Gerrish Gray's trees.I would search your addons for trees_0.bglIt is possible you have an addon that has that file and does not have the textures. This could cause this problem.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

Everything was working fine, before today. I found through the Windows search system three (3) trees_0.bgl's files (one for FreeflowFlorida, VOZ and in a scenery folder shown as addon Scenery/scenery.I am just learning how to add manually to add scenery in FS, I would appreciate if you could guide me in this.Thank you in advance for your assistance.PS I have Real Environment Pro (freeware)Kind regards,Robinho
April 29, 201016 yr There is no reason to have more than one copy of that file.FS will only recognize one instance of that file. That file uses 65 different texture files that need to in either the main FS texture folder or the texture folder associated with the scenery folder containing trees_0.bglIn other words, if FS is using the trees_o.bgl in ...\Addon Scenery\Scenery and you don't have the textures in ...\Addon Scenery\Texture or ...FS9\Texture the trees will not display properly. If you want to clean up your file system a bit, I would suggest you get rid of all but one copy of that file. You can put that file in any active scenery folder and FS will find it when it needs it. I would not put it in any local scenery folder like FREEFlow or VOZ because you will lose it if you decide to remove one of those addons.I actually have mine in ...\FS9\Scenery\Generic\Scenery and the textures in ...\FS9\Scenery\Generic\texture. this way it is out-of-sight, out-of-mind and not cluttering up ...\Addon Scenery\Scenery, which I like to keep as clean as possible. It is a very small file so you may wonder why bother getting rid of it. Good point. However you can also get rid of all the un-needed duplicate texture files too. Those do take up some space. For your reference I have attached the original readme for trees_0.bgl which lists the texture files that work with it.Feel free to post back with your results or any questions you may have.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
