AI Parking Priority

Featured Replies

I am just wondering, is there a way to set an ai airline gate priority in a parking spot. For example, i would like to use gate A for a particular airline and gate B for that airline as well, but ONLY if gate A is occupied already. Can you put something in the parking code section to create these prioritys?I seem to recall from my FS2004 days that you could put something before the parking code you want to use, a number or something, that would say to only use this spot if the other one is occupied.I have been out of the loop for many years in FS and am slowly trying to remember it all!Help would be greatly apprectiated!ThanksBeau

I haven't tried it, but it would seem that you could do this for two parking spaces with the same parking code by making the preferred one more close to the radius for the aircraft's wingspan. This should work if all of the airline's planes have the same wingspan. Wingspan can also be adjusted in the aircraft.cfg file. There are tutorials for this.

I did some experimenting and I added 000 before the actual aircraft code on the park I wanted to use second. Seemed to work a treat. When there was 1 plane on the ground it would use the proper one, but when there was 2, the second plane of the same company would use the one with the 000 in it so all good it seems!
