FSX Shut Down

Featured Replies

Hello, I use FSX and my OS is Win 7/64. I have an I7-920 processor, 2- GTX260 graphic cards, 16BG SDRAM and 2 large hard drives. This is a new system for me (about 3 months old)FSX runs just fine, but EVERY TIME I shut it down (properly using the shutdown command or my computers hardware button), and also, EVERY TIME I complete a flight with any aircraft, I get an error message saying that FSX has stopped working and MS is looking for a solution. The only solution it ever finds is to close the program.Has anyone else experienced this? What do I need to do to fix it? I would think that FSX should be able to switch missions and aircraft without any issue (by missions, I mean in freeflight mode). It should also shut down without issue.Any ideas?Oh, if it is important, I run Triplehead to Go with 3-24" monitors, 2-22" monitors, and a 21.5" monitor, between the 2 graphic cards. I also have the complete Saitek system including yoke, rudder pedals, dual throttles, radio panel, flight controller panel, switch panel with landing gear switch, plus I have 6 of their stand-alone instruments (for standby instruments, typically).thanks for any help you can provide.David

David, if you disconnect all controllers and/or add-ons you STILL get this issue? your first step should be to determine 'what' is causing it, but using custom controllers, gauges, add-ons etc will not help you do that, do, start one by one removing components to see if they are responsible first, then you can focus your efforts better.

I believe this is FSINN. I've had this for ages, and it never causes any problems.
